Deputy Principal for Prep to Year 2
Over the next 2 weeks, our current Prep students will host small groups of our 2025 Prep students. Parents of students attending Prep at Craigslea in 2025 will need to contact the office to arrange for their child to attend these days. This is an important step in the transition to school.
Prep Vision Screening
Children’s Health Queensland (CHQ) is running a vision screening program for Prep children in all Queensland schools.
A Registered Nurse will visit our school to provide this free screening service for Prep children in week 3. Good vision is important for children’s educational, physical and social development. The earlier a problem is picked up, the better the treatment outcomes.

Year 2 and 3 Vision Screening
The Lions Eye Health Program is offering Free Vision Screening for children. The screening will be conducted by: The Lion's Clubs of Brisbane Inner North and Albany Creek
on: Wednesday 23 October and Thursday 24 October. Permission forms and more information have been emailed home.
Over 80% of what children learn is processed through their eyes. Untreated eye conditions can affect a child’s development. It is estimated 1 in 5 children in Australia have undetected vision problems. Screenings can help identify children who may require further eye review/testing.
