  • It’s National Recycling Week!! The Craigslea Sustainability group have previously made some great finds with Kerbside collection (currently occurring in Chermside/Stafford/Aspley) – if you see something you think could be re-purposed why not pop it in your car and drop it into the Greenhouse. If in doubt – contact the Sustainability group sustainability@craigsleapandc.org.au
  • Thank you to those that attended the mini working bee on the weekend – the Greenhouse and surrounds are looking much tidier and ready for our hot summer

  1. Bunnings Sausage Sizzle – Saturday 9 December 2023.
  • Bunnings Stafford have allocated Saturday 9 December to hold our Sausage Sizzle. This event will be our last fundraiser for the year – let’s make it our most successful!! Why not get a group together and sign up to volunteer for an hour or two – it will make a great excuse to visit Bunnings!

  • If you haven’t got an hour free why not at least swing by and purchase a sausage….or 10.

 

  1. COS book packs – order before the 3 December for free delivery!
  • Did you know the P&C get a small cut for every pack ordered the COS? So why not take the hassle out of next year’s book list and order online at Parent Portal - School Supplies | COS and do a little fundraising for the P&C at the same time!
  • You can order online by entering Username: craigsleastate@cos.net.au Password: Parents-24 (then just select the year level required for 2024).
  • If you order before 3 December, you will get free delivery for any orders over $55.

 

  1. OSHC Enrolments
  • Our incredible OSHC team are putting together the final touches on the December/January vacation care program (it might even be released before this newsletter). They have kindly allowed us to share ‘sneak peak’ of what’s planned - a trip to Australia Zoo, Cinemas, Music incursion event and their annual end of year party!!! You can already enrol you child/children via the Xplor app. Prep 2024 parents – please note your child can enrol in the January 2024 Vacation program (but not December 2023).
  • 2024 before and after school care is open for enrolment. Places are filling up – make sure to contact OSHC if you would like your child to be booked in (this includes if you would like your spot rolled over from 2023. This does not occur automatically – you need to book!).
  • The 2024 OSHC program will be holding more educational programs such as the very successful art classes and drumming workshops.
