  • Did you know you can now purchase black school socks from the Uniform shop! Say no to white socks with dirty brown bottoms and purchase your beautiful, uniform compliant, black socks today!
  • It was World Teachers Day on Friday 27 October – The P&C would like to acknowledge the incredible staff that make up our teacher and teacher aide cohort. To help celebrate the P&C organised some coffee and cola vouchers for the teachers as well as some yummy treats from GF Sistas.
  • Are you having trouble finding the perfect Christmas gift for a special someone? Why not consider some of our 50th Memorabilia which is now on sale at a super special discount – why not swing past the Uniform shop next week to grab a bargain!

  1. Internet Safe Education Session for Parents
  • Thank you to everyone that turned up (or Live Streamed) for the Parent Education session on 26 October. This was such a great session with lots of practical advice that can applied straight away.
  • The 5 principles for adults were:
    • Set clear rules and boundaries.
    • You make the final decisions.
    • Use Management controls.
    • Stay up to date with their usage.
    • Communicate with your kids.
  • We would strongly encourage you to visit Brett’s website – internetsafeeducation.com
  • The P&C sponsored the night and arranged for professional recording of the session. Parents who couldn’t attend will still be able access this important information. The link to the recording will be made available soon. 

  1. COS book packs – order before the 3 December for free delivery!
  • Did you know the P&C get a small cut for every pack ordered the COS? So why not take the hassle out of next year’s book list and order online at Parent Portal - School Supplies | COS and do a little fundraising for the P&C at the same time!
  • You can order online by entering Username: craigsleastate@cos.net.au Password: Parents-24 (then just select the year level required for 2024).
  • If you order before 3 December, you will get free delivery for any orders over $55.

  1. Fundraising for Chilled Water Stations
  • This term, the P&C are actively fundraising to install chilled water stations throughout the school.
  • So far, you can help through:
    • Containers for Coolers: Drop off your containers in the bins around the school or use our code (C10984048) to allocate the funds to the P&C
    • Free Dress Day: A gold coin (or something more!) donation on arrival at school. Details to be announced soon.
    • Bunnings Sausage Sizzle on 9 December. Volunteer to help on the day (details below) or swing past to grab a sausage.
  • More fundraising opportunities through Grill’d, McDonalds, and Drakes IGA are being arranged. Details soon!

  1. OSHC
  • Our incredible OSHC team recently participated in a Peg and Hoist training session to help support our little people that require a bit of extra care. Thank you to our staff for participating in this training which is a vital part of our inclusion strategy.
  • If you strolled past OSHC last Thursday (26October) you may have heard some amazing sounds. Our OSHC team organised a special incursion with InRhythm with every child tapping away on their own drum creating beautiful African music.
  • OSHC have been working hard this term with organising art and music experiences for our children. We are hoping to expand on this further in 2024 to help provide our children with a wide range of experiences in their before and after school care.
  • Places for 2024 are filling fast. If you’re interested in OSHC for next year, please contact Kylie on oshc@craigsleapandc.org.au.
