Dear Families,

Welcome back!

I hope you all enjoyed a relaxing break and both you and your children are ready for a fabulous Term 3. Holidays for me are an opportunity to have some down time and refill my bucket with my family and friends. I am excited for the term ahead and working collaboratively with our staff and school community to begin developing our 2024-2027 strategic plan. I will share more information about this as the term progresses.

This week I have visited many of our classes and I am so impressed with our Craigslea SS learners. Our students are curious and motivated and it was great to see everyone focussed and ready to learn.

Year One Outdoor Learning Space

The work on the outdoor learning space is complete and the fences are down – yay! This space will be used during learning time for students to participate in investigations and learning experiences beyond the walls of the classroom. At play time, we will be offering activities for students in this space such as drawing, connect four, small world, blocks and other creative play. This area is not for students to run around in and play chase, as it is not designed for this purpose.

If you are waiting with your children before school in this space can you please ensure that they are sitting safely with you waiting to go into class. Before school supervision for Prep and Year 1 is the Year 1 eating shed and grassed area from 8:30am.

Cyber Safety

Cyber safety is all about teaching our children how to use technology and the internet safely and putting measures in place to protect them from online dangers. There is great information available for parents at the following website www.esafety.gov.au/parents .

Please click HERE for quick tips for parents. The most important thing is to start the conversations with our children.

Student Toilets

To ensure the safety of our students, parents/carers are reminded that student toilets are for student use only. Parents/carers are to use staff toilets which are located near OSHC or Administration.
