Also….

  • The Pie Drive and Colour Fun Run were on during the last 2 weeks of term 2. These were both a huge success and together we raised over $6000 to help fund future school projects. We hope you enjoyed your delicious pies and a big thank you to the amazing volunteers who helped at both of these events! The prizes for the Colour Fun Run have arrived and will be distributed to your child’s classroom on Friday 14th July.
  • Ballinger Street signs were installed by Council over the holiday. Please abide by them as they will be enforced to help keep our kids safe.
  • Munch Monitor – we encourage you to use Munch Monitor when ordering tuckshop (This will help you save by avoiding the over the counter charge when ordering in person). Also please try to place orders (online or over the counter) before 9am. This really helps our very busy tuckshop workers get food orders ready in time for 1st break.

  1. P&C Meeting – Monday 24thJuly 2023 at 7pm
  • The meeting will be held in-person (OSHC Building) and online via Teams (link in the SchoolZine Calendar).
  • To become a member of the P&C, please complete the online application form: https://forms.office.com/r/ywNJVsDq8d.
  • We’re looking to run the meetings “paper free”, so please use an electronic device instead of printing.

 

  1. Greenhouse upgrade
  • Over the school holidays our greenhouse had an upgrade (funded by the P&C)! It now has a new roof, new shade cloth, new 2nd door and some waterproof covering. This upgrade has provided a more functional space for the students and community of Craigslea!!
  • A big thank you to Jen for organising and thank you to the large group of parents and children volunteers to help with the preparation for this work.  
  • There will be a working bee later this term to complete a few outstanding tasks.

 

  1. OSHC Educators’ Day Wednesday 26thJuly
  • A big thank you to the dedicated staff at OSHC! You make before and after school care and vacation care so much fun with a large range of activities and delicious food.
  • Do you or your child have a favourite educator? Make sure you stop by and let the educators know how amazing they are!

 

  1. Fathers and Fellas Day Stall Wednesday 30thAugust
  • Due to the student free day on Friday, 1 September, our Fathers and Others Day Stall will be held on Wednesday, 30th August this year. Reminders will be sent out closer to the date so that children remember their bags and money on the day.
  • We will need volunteers to help work the stall - please register using the volunteer link if you can help out.
  • This event aligns with the Walking Wheeling Wednesday P&C coffee and cake - any volunteers who help out prior to 10am will also get a free coffee!

 

  1. Trivia Night Saturday 9thSeptember
  • Trivia night 2022 was a huge success and we are excited for this years event. The 2023 theme will be – 1920’s Trivia!! Think Great Gatsby, Art Deco and perhaps Gin cocktails ?
  • Dress is encouraged but totally optional.
  • We are looking for a couple of volunteers to help organise this event – please get in touch if you can help out!
  • More information to come but save the date and start getting your tables of 8 together ($150 per table, or $20 per person).
