Cross Country and Junior Sports Carnival

This week we held two of our yearly sports events. On Tuesday we held our cross country and all our students participated with enthusiasm and persistence. It truly was a cross country course and well done to our competitors who completed it!

Yesterday we held our Junior Sports Carnival for our Prep-Year 2 students. This is such a wonderful event and it was great to see so many of our parents attending to join in the fun. Our students participated in running races and a variety of skills-based games to earn points for their houses. Mr Kirby even convinced me to play a round of dodge ball – the year 2 students have a very good aim! We are looking forward to our Senior Sports Carnival next week.  A very big thank you to Mr Heidrich for organising these events.


Assessment and Reporting

Students and teachers are currently finalising first semester learning tasks which will be used to assess student learning against the Australian Curriculum achievement standards and inform first semester report cards. These reports will be emailed to parents in Week 10.


School Support Staff Week and Cleaners Day

This week we acknowledged and celebrated our cleaners and support staff who are essential to the operation of our schools. You do an amazing job helping us to ensure that our schools are safe and accessible places to learn. Thank you!


Count down to the mid-year holidays

With only one week to go until we go on our mid-year break, I would like to thank our teachers and staff for the awesome job they do each day to help our students be successful learners. Thank you also to our students for their commitment to their own learning and our parents for supporting us. Have a safe and relaxing break and we look forward to continuing our work together next semester.
