Book Club
Book Club Issue 2 orders have been distributed to students - I apologize for the delay on these orders, the lockdown at the end of Term 2 caused delivery delays. Book Club Issue 3 catalogues can be viewed online. All ordering and payments can be completed online using the Scholastic Book Club LOOP Platform or the LOOP app. Place your Book Club Order by May 10.

ANZAC Day Reading
Many children have been borrowing books from our ANZAC Day display. It is great to see them take an interest in this important part of Australian history. Children in Year 3 to Year 6 who are participating in the Student Resource Scheme can access digital books on ANZAC topics using the Sora app https://soraapp.com/library/eduqueenslandau/curated-1200058/page-1

National Family Reading Month - will you accept the challenge?
There is an amazing link between reading  and its long-term value to our children’s success in school. However, we also know it is not always that easy to put into practice with our busy schedules. That is why we are working together with Scholastic to ask our families to take the 31 Day Family Reading Challenge – to inspire you to make reading together for at least 10 minutes every day a focus, to create positive, long lasting reading habits and lifelong readers! Reading Club
GREAT NEWS Our popular before school Reading Club is starting again on Tuesday 4 May. It will be in the library from 8.30am to 8.50am on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays.

You are invited to come & read with your child.  Children can also read to a teacher or a Reading Buddy if parents are not available. The regular reading practice will improve children’s reading fluency and increase their vocabulary. They will receive a special Principal’s Reading Award once they have earned 40 stamps in their Reading Passports.
