Reading With Your Student
Have you asked your child what they are reading? Can they tell you about the protagonist (main character) or what is happening in their book? Have you heard them read a sentence, a page or a whole chapter? Have you read something to them? Parent involvement in the reading process begins long before a child arrives at school and should continue through the school years to promote a love of reading. In this busy world, try to find some time to connect and share a "reading moment" with your child. 

Book Club Issue 8
Book Club Issue 8 is available online . Ordering and payments are due November 16 and can be completed online using the Scholastic Book Club LOOP Platform.This is the final Book Club for the year. Thank you so much to the families who have participated in Book Club during 2020, the points we have accumulated through your purchases have provided the Library with some new titles and students are excited to borrow these new books.

Healthy Reading
Please be aware that we continue to follow the Queensland Education Department Covid-19 advice regarding school library books.  We quarantine all returned books for at least 72 hours before returning them to our shelves. Please promote healthy reading by washing hands before and after handling a book.
