- Bushdance Postponed – New Date Will Be Announced Shortly.
We’re sorry to let you know that the Bushdance has been postponed. We’ve had to move OSHC into the hall so that important painting and flooring work can be done in the OSHC building before the school holidays. With only a few weeks to go, it’s too challenging to find a new spot for the event and still make sure it’s fun and safe for everyone. Thanks for your understanding—we’ll keep you posted with a new date!
- Volunteer to Help – It’s like Making Distance Without the Ball.
Just like in sport, making metres without the ball can win the game—and for the P&C, volunteering is how we do that! Every hour you give helps reduce the need for paid staff, meaning more of our P&C funds go straight back into making the school better for our kids. The tuckshop is always keen for extra hands—whether it’s staying after drop-off to prep food, helping serve at lunch, or popping in early to help clean up. It’s not a forever commitment—just do what you can, when you can. Volunteering is a great way to meet other parents, learn more about the school, and be part of the community. Interested? Email tuckshop@craigsleapandc.org.au to find out more or to get involved! Keep an eye out for more details in the newsletter and on our P&C facebook page.
- Fundraising – A Little Bit Goes A Long Way
When it comes to fundraising, small contributions really add up! With around 600 students (and 480 families) at our school, just $5 per student in events like 5c February or the Easter Raffle can raise $3,000—that’s amazing impact from just a little effort. This year, we’re fundraising to air condition the hall and upgrade its audio-visual system. These improvements won’t just make the space more comfortable—they’ll also make it more inclusive. For some students, especially those with sensory sensitivities or disabilities, the current sound, lighting, or temperature can be overwhelming. While it might seem like a “nice to have,” these upgrades will make a real difference in helping all students feel welcome and included. Please keep an eye out for upcoming fundraisers and remember that every little bit really does help.
