Lunch Clubs

Japanese Club
On Monday, students wrote the kanji symbols for Japan.

Harrison & Ethan (year 6 students) wrote: On Monday, in Japanese Club we used special paper with water to create Kanji in the paper, and over time it dried and disappeared.  It was fun to use the paper and we would gladly come again. The photos shown were written by myself. (Sensei)

Senior Choir
Senior Choir has one of the biggest numbers in a while with over 80 students. We are working hard on songs to perform for ANZAC day.  What a wonderful start. Thanks to everyone who is making music on Tuesday at lunch time.

STEM
The STEM lunchtime club was a huge success, with a full classroom of 27 enthusiastic students diving into the world of digital learning! We kicked off by exploring internet safety, having fun with creative logins and passphrases while learning the importance of protecting our identity and digital footprint. Students were also excited to start designing their first app game—Tic Tac Toe—building key problem-solving and coding skills in an engaging and supportive environment.

Challenge Club
The Challenge Club meets on Wednesdays in the 5M classroom for middle and upper year levels. This week the main challenge was, “What’s the longest strip you can tear from an A4 sheet of paper?”    The CSS record is greater than 150cms with the average this week around 40cms. Look how long this one is!

Next week the challenges will focus oncomplex  tower building.
